Fremont Community Church

A New Opportunity for fund raising and ministry

Hey there, friends!

After Church this Sunday, 4/26/26, we will ask members to stay a few extra minutes to discuss a really cool opportunity that has come our way.

We have been offered space in a downtown retail building to open a thrift shop. The shop would be an extension of our garage sale, but would be open year-round.

The building is owned by Full Potential and Promised Land, an organization and nonprofit owned and run by Mori and Cynthia Church that provides Medicaid waiver services and resources for individuals with disabilities. They will have their offices upstairs and be running a coffee shop on the other side of the building. As of now, there are many unanswered questions about how this cooperation might work because I need your permission to move forward.

As you know, our Garage Sale is a major source of funding for the ministries of Fremont Community Church (last year, it accounted for about 1/3 of our annual budget). That is a huge blessing! It is also a burden. Having a second location where ongoing sales can take place and drop-offs can be handled will help manage and grow that ministry.

I also love the idea of having a place in the center of town, right on the main street where the "Mustart Seed" Venue is currently located across from Eagle One Stop, with our name on it and our people interacting with Fremont's businesses.

We will talk in more detail on Sunday, but I wanted you to be thinking and praying about this conversation before then.

Thank you for your love for Jesus and for this church.
See you Sunday!

Pastor Josh
